Largest Oldtime-Jazz Festival celebrates Anniversary
The Saxon Festival Association presents the programme for the 45th Dixieland Festival Dresden 2015 at the ibis Dresden Zentrum
The Dresdner Schloß (Dresden Palace) will be the center of the G7 Summit of Finance Ministers and Heads of Central Banks from the 27th to the 29th of May 2015 of the seven leading industrialised nations Germany, France, Great Britain, Italy, Japan, USA and Canada. A security perimeter will be set up around Dresden’s Residenzschloß (Palace) from the 27th of May, 6 am until the 29th of May, 6 pm, in which drivers will have to reckon with restrictions. Pedestrians and cyclists should be aware of higher security measures around the Hofkirche, Zwinger, Semperoper and Fürstenzug. The State Art Gallery Museums at the Residenzschloß will remain closed to the public from the 28th and 29th of May. All other areas of Dresden’s city center will not be affected according to a statement by Dresden’s Police and will be able to viewed and used during the summit. The ibis Dresden Zentrum on the Prager Street near Dresden’s Central Train Station will not be affected by the measures taken for the G7-Summit and and will be accessible at all times.
